Hey there!

There is no doubt that you’ve seen this awesome group in the halls playing some popular dancehall hits! We’ve all stopped for a second to get in a few dance moves before continuing on our way to class, let’s be honest. Brock Roots African Caribbean Society is a dynamic and energetic group that strives to showcase African/Caribbean cultures and empower individuals from all walks of life. Recently voted BUSU’s Club of The Year, Brock Roots is making moves on campus that are both empowering and pretty cool if you ask me.

Brock Roots is another group that adds to the diverse community that exists at Brock by providing opportunities for individuals to take pride in their culture with a group of like minded individuals. This month, Brock Roots hosted Culture Wave 2016 which was held at Mandeville Theatre on March 12th, 2016 to celebrate African and Caribbean culture through music, dance and various other expressions. In addition, Brock Roots provides a platform in which individuals can be educated on culture, language, politics and many other areas that are important to the Afro-Carribbean community.
