Well, syllabus and Frost week are coming to a close and that means second semester is in full swing. Hopefully everybody enjoyed their time off as well as their holidays, but now it’s time to suit up and get in gear for a new semester.
For some, this is their first second semester at Brock University—for some, it’s their last semester of University.
Whichever it is, make it a good one and leave the year with a bang.
Here are 5 quick tips on how to make the most of your semester:
1. Get Organized
Plan out your calendar! Dedicate some time to writing out all of your important dates, and try planning out your days! It’ll be very helpful in staying organized and remembering what is due and on which day. That way, nothing sneaks up on you when you haven’t been paying attention.
2. Go to class!
Don’t skip classes, guys. I know, those 8 am’s can come quick, but there’s nothing worse than being lost in course material that you don’t understand.
3. Make time for your social life
Even though being dedicated to rocking classes is important, it’s also important to make time for friends and family. Since you’ve followed step 1 (getting organized), you’ll hopefully have a good idea as to when you’re able to go home for a weekend to visit family, or plan a day with friends!
4. Go to the library
Distractions can be everywhere. Sometimes it’s a good idea to head over to the library to get some things done. Sometimes, you’ll even end up leaving the library with more accomplished than you had expected!
5. Get back in the school mindset
Sometimes, it’s easier said than done. Push yourself to get out of bed for class, make time for your school work, and get your assignments done! This all starts by getting your head back in the game.
These tips and tricks are easy, they’re reliable, and they work. Follow these easy tips to help stay on top of things. By making time for school and yourself, you’ll be able to put your best foot forward this semester and get the ball rolling.
Finish the school year with a bang!
