Reading week truly is the best part about every semester. While some of us have travel plans and a long list of fun things to do, the rest of us only have one thing on our to-do list – Netflix and chill (alone or with someone, it’s equally fun). Then there’s a couple of us who get some reading done. Either way, you’ve come to the correct place to make your reading week more (un)productive. Here’s a long list of shows and movies that I highly recommend-

If you’re looking to tap your emotional side and probably shed a tear, This is us is the show for you. With only one season on Netflix, the show captures a family of five at different stages of their lives. The show runs on flashbacks of each member recalling the problems faced while growing up. It’s an emotional rollercoaster that leaves you crying at the end of almost every episode but it’s a must watch because of the storyline!

If you’re into intense science fiction dramas, I’d highly recommend Black Mirror. It sheds light on the future of science and its twisted relation with mankind! It’s dark an twisted but something that keeps you hooked on the show till the very end.

If chemistry teachers were as cool as Walter White, studying would be a breeze. Breaking Bad is about a teacher who teams with a former student to manufacture crystal meth. This award-winning show starring Aaron Paul needs no more explanation. Just watch it!

The Office. Need I say more?

Girl Boss is about Sophia who starts her own Ebay business and goes pursues her dream like a true boss, all while dealing with problems that keep springing up in here journey!

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis fans need to tune in to That 70s Show. It’s a light hearted comedy show that covers high school romance, an uncomfortably open family, a group of close knit friends who have each other’s back yet laugh at each other’s expense. Also, Topher Grace! You don’t need more reason to watch.

If you’re someone like me who is too scared to commit to shows with too many seasons, movies are your saving grace. Fundamentals of Caring is an eccentric take on the life of a disabled teenager. It also stars Selena Gomez as a rebellious kid turned hitchhiker. It’s a feel-good show that is a great way to spend an afternoon or a quiet night in.

If you’re into documentaries, The Story of Diana, The Founder, Walt Before Mickey are a couple of great stories. Based on real experiences, they’re also inspiring.

Netflix-ing is an art that can only be mastered with practice. So binge and procrastinate your worries away because reading week is here to stay 😉
