After years of assignments, early morning classes and those last minute study sessions, it might seem a bit surreal if you find those days finally coming to an end. For some of you, it might be your last semester here at Brock University, but don’t worry, we’re sure you’ll be moving on to bigger and better things.
And to help you get on your way, here’s a bit of a checklist to follow to ensure you’ve tied up all those loose ends and are ready to graduate.
Did you know you had to actually apply to graduate? Make sure they know you’re ready to leave. By making your payments and applying ahead of time, they’ll know to expect your smiling face at convocation!
2. Book Your Grad Photos
Don’t forget to book your grad photos! Nothing says ‘I’ve made it’ quite like a nice photo to hang on the wall at home. Don’t forget to get the wallet sized ones too, Grandma would probably like to have one of those.
3. Complete that Brock Bucket List
a) Isaac’s Night
Make sure you get in at least one more Thursday night at Isaac’s before you leave us. Get together with some friends and have some good old Badger fun.
b) Buy a Brock Sweater or Bumper Sticker
You can’t leave without a sweater or a bumper sticker. It’s like, mandatory.
c) Meet up With First Year Friends
Get together with those you haven’t seen in awhile, like your first year roomies! Saying goodbye is always hard, so make plans with those you haven’t seen in awhile to get the chance to say your farewells.
4. Start Planning
I know, it’s a scary thought, but planning is alway a good way to get a hold on the situation. Maybe start looking into post-grad opportunities, or work placements. Talk to your fellow graduates and see what they’re thinking of doing after their time at Brock comes to an end.
5. Finish Strong
Finish off your final semester on a high note. Keep up with the assignments, stay on top of your studies and leave Brock with a kick-butt average to show for it.
So if you’re leaving us at the end of this school year, make sure that you follow these helpful tips to ensure you’re ready to go! Good luck out there, Badgers!
