This Friday, Brock TV will be holding its annual student film festival. Be prepared to be dazzled by different genres of short films submitted by Brock and Niagara College students. These students are competing for the chance to win $700. So why should you invest time and go?

Supporting Your School

Like high school, it’s just as important to go out to university events being hosted. It’s a great way to get involved in the community, meet with people who have similar interests as you, and support both the organization (Brock TV), and the students who are entering.

Prizes

There are many prizes up for grabs, starting with the door prize. Brock TV has lots of cool gifts you can win for the different raffles they have that night. One of the prizes I won last year was a portable charger so make sure you check it out to see what you can win!

The Films

There is a variety of different films submitted by students ranging in genre, and at the end of the night, the panel of the judges vote on which film will be the winner. This is a great opportunity to go to especially if you are majoring in film studies or media/business communications. If your interested in seeing the 2017 winner, just head over to the official Facebook page to check it out!

Fun Friday Night

Last year I had the opportunity to go with my friends, one of which that was entering. It was lots of fun to dress up, walk the red carpet, and take lots of beautiful pictures. It really is a great night to feel glamourous and sophisticated with friends and members of the community.

Snacks & Drinks

There will be tables set up with snacks and drinks that you can much on before, during or after the event. Who doesn’t love an event with food?

The RenderThis Film Festival will be taking place this Friday, in the Sean O’Sullivan Theatre, starting at 6:30 pm and running until 9pm. Keep in mind that the dress code is semi-formal and the admission is $5 at the door. So what are you waiting for? Start gathering up friends and picking your outfits for a fun night at Brock!
